Walgreens - New Rebate Program

Here is how the program works:
1. Buy the FREE after Rebate item, use Coupons to lower your Out of Pocket cost if you have them
2. Then go to walgreensrebates.com, you will enter your receipt information online. No UPC's are needed, although you can snail mail your Rebate if you wish. Every product with a participating Rebate will be shown online.
3. That's it, then choose how you want to receive your Rebate.
Rebate Options:
Walgreens Gift Card
- 10% of the rebate bonus applied to your card
- you can reload your card each month with your rebates
- Walgrens gift card doesn’t Expire
- No fees

Walgreens Prepaid Visa Card [available for rebates larger than $10]
- Can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, but no withdrawing money via ATM or Bank
- $3.00 monthly maintenance fee, but waived for the first twelve months after the card is issued. No additional fees will be assessed once the card balance reaches zero

Rebate Check
- Get a check that you can deposit in your bank or cash out at Walgreens
- Takes 8-10 weeks to get your rebate check

PayPal
- you can choose to have your rebate directly deposited to your PayPal account
If you lose your receipt – stores may be able to reprint proof of your purchase within 60-90 days of the original purchase. Just revisit the store you purchased from and provide the date & estimated time of purchase, as well as any purchase specifics possible. Once you have this reprint, please contact Customer Service at 855-417-4256 for assistance.

Your thoughts?
The biggest benefit I see is that you can use your Register Rewards to lower your OOP cost for FREE after Rebate items, then receive cash via PayPal, check, or Prepaid Visa to use on anything else you wish. This is going to change the game for sure and make Walgreens easier to shop at!

Thanks Happy Money Saver!
