I went to my local Walgreens to do this deal and the cashier told me that I needed to buy something else in the store to cover the penny overage. I asked her if she could just adjust it down. She then called the manager and the manager told her that I must buy another item in the store to cover the penny and that they couldn't adjust it down. Was just curious if all Walgreens follow this rule, or just mine.
Yeah, its a YMMV thing (Your manager may vary)... one of my Walgreens is the same way, even with the RRs!! I mean come on.. it is THEIR coupon (the RR) so if they save money on it b/c I dont spend the whole dang thing, you'd think they let me use it...
When this happens, grab a .39 caramel or a .29 cowtail... sometimes you can find pencils or stickers in the clearance area.
So did you get it or not due to the needing one more item?
Yeah, I ended up getting a .39 caramel, bc I wasn't expecting them to do that. So, next time I go, I'll be prepared with coupons and get something I really need. I've had trouble with this store about the RR's too. I haven't really been going to Wags for all the deals bc they usually give me problems. I may have to try the one across town to see if they are any better there. Thanks for answering!!
