Well here is my update for you silly skeptics.
It is a GREAT beginner/underwater recorder!!! I LOVE it! So far both of my littlest nephews are getting one for Christmas! We are contemplating saving the third for Atlas when he gets a little bigger!

I almost bought one, but when I read further, I didn't think it was made for underwater... I think it's waterproof, which would make it be able to withstand some rain, but not underwater, which would allow it to work when submerged in water such as a pool. Am I incorrect? Just wanted to forewarn you to be careful if you're submerging it.
nope! It is and underwater camera! Up to 3 meters which is pretty much pool safe, rain safe, whatever... I wouldnt take it scuba diving.
I'll post a water video as soon as we get back in the pool.

I also read that the pixellation is a whole lot better in outdoor light and also just as good in underwater settings. I am so excited!
