[Review] Hugo the Happy Starfish - It's good to be me
Stories with morals are always good. We try to have a story with a meaning in each of the books we read our children. At least at this age. We just got the ebook - Hugo the Happy Starfish - It's good to be me.
This story is about Hugo the Starfish who normally loved to make others happy, but was himself feeling down lately. His friend gives him 6 wishes and he starts wishing for silly things, like to be bigger. Then to have a smaller nose, bigger eyes, bigger mouth. Hugo was not happy with his appearance and thought changing it would make him happy. He was wrong. His last wish was to change himself back to who he always was. He learned appreciation.
With all the recent events (thank you [not] VMAs) .. our kids are paying attention. They need to know that they are perfect the way they were made and they are not starving for attention.
We have added the other Hugo books to our Amazon wish list :)
*TIP - Keep an eye out!!! The books go on sale for FREE (eBook edtion) quite often!
