WHOA!!! They have exhausted their rebate capabilities. Seriously!?
“Brita FilterForGood – this is Andrea from Brita. The rebate supplies that were available were already exhausted. The rebate was so popular that we could not distribute any more forms. I really am sorry about this! We will be honoring all rebates that have been mailed in already. I am still very sorry the the inconvenience! And I can assure you that we do care about our consumers and the problems we caused.”I'm a bit shocked that a company so big would ... be so neglectful? However, quit buying free things simply because they are free, folks. If you WANT something and CAN get it for free, then woohoo! But it something like this happens, don't turn it Jerry Springer style (Thanks Mary.. forgot about him for a second) and bash them on their page. We are more responsible than that, right?!
The FTC has some suggestions HERE
What do you do? Devon has some ideas:
- RETURN your pitcher
- COMMENT on their Facebook page
- CALL and ask for your receipt to be returned to you so you can return it
- If you return it to Walmart without your receipt, you will likely end up with a $9.99 gift card, or whatever you paid for it. You should be able to get your money back.
