Jenny at SouthernSavers posted an amazing and informative piece on returning Christmas gifts. My favorite advice was to skip the lines and return days after Christmas... well it is days later now, so get moving. But read THIS article first!
Also something came up in one of my coupon groups the other day. Someone (tongue in cheek) said that someone should return some of their stockpile to make more money. I'm not sure on the rules on that with the stores, but in my eyes that is COMPLETELY UNETHICAL and I hope to God that if people are doing that, that the stores is remembering them and stops them from stockpiling free items to return.
*I have tried to return diapers for a larger size before. I get all of my diapers at Publix, they always have sales and store coupons that I can stack with manufacturer coupons for the best deals. However, I didn't have the receipt and apparently had bought them long enough before that that specific bar code was no longer in their system. I assume that other products also periodically changes the bar codes.
So I hope people pulling that scam of returning their stockpile are doing so late enough that the bar codes have changed since they bought them!
Do you have any tips to returning items? (honestly)
