LAKELAND, Fla. -- Grocery store chain Publix is developing a uniform policy on coupon use.
A Publix spokeswoman told the Lakeland Ledger on Friday that the companywide policy is scheduled to be implemented in the next few weeks.
Spokeswoman Shannon Patten says customers have asked for a coupon policy that is consistent at each Publix store.
Currently, the Lakeland-based Publix accepts coupons from manufacturers, competitors and some online coupons. Particularly savvy shoppers have been able to combine coupons for steep discounts on their grocery bills.
