Kim Komando - Daily Download

OMG sorry this is soo late!!!! I was tryign to see how many readers I get each day to figure out how many bloggers I follow and who is actually helpful to pull from. Apparently I am doing pretty good and only read 25 - 30 blogs a day to find you the best deals. I intend to delete those people who I dont find helpful in the next few days. I REALLY need to simplify this blog. I'd LOVELOVELOVE if you sent me your deals!! OK Back to Kim...

Cool, Useful, Fun Freebie

arrow A view of the Earth on your desktop

Your desktop background isn't something that needs a lot of thought. Just slap up a funny or interesting picture, right? Sure, that works. But you can turn your desktop into something really cool. And it doesn't take a lot of work.
Think about the view outside your window. I'm sure it's nice. Now, what if your home was a satellite circling the Earth? That's what I'd call a view. You'll probably never live on a satellite. But you can get that view on your desktop.
Desktop Earth is the perfect tool for doing this. It uses images of Earth straight from NASA. But it's more than a static background. It also simulates day and night in real time. And as the sun goes down, the cities light up. It's a beautiful light show.
You can also have the program grab real satellite images of the weather. You see clouds and storms as they are outside. It may not always be exact. The background only refreshes every few minutes. But it's a cool effect.
