Homemade - Batik Dyeing with Elmer's Glue

I am involved in a baby wearer group of mommies. Basically we wear our children in slings and wraps and on our backs instead of toting a stroller everywhere. Lately our fad has been getting this thin burlap type material to make a light weight breathable wrap from a craft store (with coupons) and then dying it whatever color suits out mood.

I have put off dyeing mine out of fear. But if you can make cool designs and patterns with something as simple as Elmer's Glue, COUNT ME IN!!! And let's get this party started Mommas!!

One of my mommies posted a link to this blogger who drew the patterns on aprons and then painted it with acrylic paint, pealed off the glue and ended up with really cool aprons! The best part, a kid can do this and it looks really cool, not like it was done by a kid... mostly.

The Pink and Green Mama also had some really fun ideas on her blog for other crafty kid projects!
