Cartoons and animated movies are a blast to watch. But it takes a lot of work to create them. Using a computer makes animation a little easier. But the software can be expensive.

It can be difficult to get into computer animation. You not only have to be computer savvy, but artistic to boot. But don’t give up just yet.

Stykz (pronounced: “sticks”) is a simple computer animation tool. It lets you create movies with stick figures. You’ll manipulate the figures and build the animation frame by frame.

It might sound tedious. But helpful tips get you rolling in no time. The program is still in the beta stage. Don’t be surprised to see a few bugs. But I didn’t run into anything that was a deal breaker.
