Block out distracting Web sites
The Web is full of useful information. It doesn't matter what you're working on. You can jump online and find help. And since you're online, why not stop by Facebook? Oh! How about some funny YouTube videos?Wait. What was it you were working on? The Web is a great resource for any project. But it's also the biggest source of distractions ever created. One click can take you down an amusing, but entirely unproductive, rabbit hole.
BinarySwitch Eclipse can help you stay on track. Use it to block Web sites where you waste time. They could include Facebook, Gmail, YouTube or your favorite blogs. Just list their URLs and click Block Sites.
Blocked sites can't be accessed from any browser on your computer. The block is intended to be temporary.
When finished with your serious work, just click Unblock Sites. Enter a short string of numbers and letters. And then you can continue surfing for fun.
