Publix Policies

Publix Policies:

Publix takes competitor coupons. It has been my experience that they will only take a direct competitor's (within a reasonable driving distance) coupons. For example, my Publix does not take Kroger coupons since we do not have a Kroger near us. If you are unsure as to which stores your Publix considers a competitor, just ask a manager.

Publix accepts two coupons per item, one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon. This includes BOGO sale items. You can use a coupon on an item you receive for free from a BOGO sale.

Publix does not limit the number of coupons you can use, but the register does. If you use more coupons than you have items, or if your coupon amount exceeds $50.00 the register will beep. It will give the cashier the message that you have exceeded the maximum number of coupons. A manager will have to manually override the register when this happens.

Publix accepts internet coupons.

Publix does not accept expired manufacturer coupons. However, some stores will accept expired store and competitor coupons.

Publix will issue rain checks for any sale items that are not in stock.

Publix does not price match.

Publix Promise: Publix guarantees that if during checkout, the scanned price of an item (excluding alcohol and tobacco products) exceeds the shelf price or advertised price, they will give the customer one of that item free. The remaining items will be charged at the lower price.

Additional Publix Coupon Policies that Only Apply Outside of Florida and Parts of Southern Georgia:

Publix doubles manufacturer coupons up to $0.50. There is no limit on the number of coupons they will double.

Publix doesn't require you to purchase both items in a BOGO sale. BOGO items will ring up half price.

Publix has penny items each week. The penny item coupons are valid for use on Sunday and/or Monday.
