Automatically sync files to an external drive

Most people work on more then one computer. You've got one at home and one at work. Maybe you use several more. And you probably work with the same files on all of them. You want those files to stay synchronized. Having multiple versions isn't helpful.

There are a number of syncing tools available. Some sync folders over the Web. These usually can't handle large files, though. Others sync to an external drive. But you have to remember to hit the sync button. If you forget, you're out of luck.

Sync Butler syncs files to an external drive. But it can do so automatically. You don't have to remember anything. Just turn it on and get to work. You select a folder on you computer and one on the drive. All documents inside will stay synchronized.

But the program goes even further than that. You may not remember to save important documents to the right folder. That's OK. Use the "Sync Butler, Sync!" feature. It will grab most recently changed files at the touch of a button. It doesn't matter if they're saved in the right folder.
