Kim Komando - Daily Download

A better way to save things off the Web

Saving files off the Web is pretty easy. You can download nearly anything you want. Get new wallpapers for your desktop. Discover great free music. And download videos. All of it can be done with a click.

Unfortunately, anything simple comes with compromises. Downloading files in Firefox is easy. But all files are downloaded to a single Downloads folder. If you want them anywhere else, you have to move them manually.
Thankfully, there is a better way. Save File To is a useful Firefox add-on. It lets you download files directly to any folder you want. Just right-click a picture or download link. Then select Save Link to, Save Image, Save Page to or Save File to. And select the folder.

Designate the folders in the Save File To preferences. Click Tools>>Add-ons. Click Preferences under Save File To. Choose the Page, Link, Image or File tab. Click Add>>Folder. There you can select the appropriate folder you want to use.
